Control Valve

Fluororesin Needle Valve

RoHS2 Compliant

Suitable for flow rate adjustment in semiconductor manufacturing process.

Resin
  • PFA, PTFE, and PVDF are used for main resin parts. PFA and PTFE: Excellent chemical resistance and heat resistance. PVDF: Excellent chemical resistance and mechanical strength.
  • No copper-based metallic material is used in flow paths
  • HNBR or FKM is used for the seal rubber material. *Some products are only compatible in the flow path.
  • No lubrication is used during assembly.
  • Fluorine grease is used as grease, and the product is packaged in a clean room after cleaning with clean air.
  • After vacuum ultrasonic cleaning with HFE (hydro fluoro ether) in a clean room, deaeration packaging is performed.

Advantages

Suitable for flow rate adjustment in semiconductor manufacturing process.

High pull-out strength and sealability are realized.

An impact-ring holds the tube firmly.

Easy control of union nut tightening.

A click gauge is incorporated for making an easy check that the union nut is firmly tightened.

Fluororesin Fittings are also available.

Specifications

Fluid medium Liquid (Conditional*1)
Max. operating pressure 0.7MPa (at 0~60℃)*2
Operating temperature range 0~100℃

Warning

*1. When the fluid medium is water or other liquid, be sure to read and follow the conditions below.

Surge pressure must be controlled lower than max. operating pressure when using water or liquid as a fluid medium.

Tap water in Japan free from foreign substances or contamination can be used. Carry out the evaluation under an actual operating condition for using other kind of water.

The specification above may not be applied, depending on the kind of chemicals used as a fluid medium. Make sure to use PISCO products after verifying their suitability on the user side.

Warning

*2. When operating temp. exceeds 60℃, refer to the following chart "Relation of Operating Temp. & Max. Operating Pressure"

Port size

Tube dia.(O.D. x I.D.)

Detailed Safety Instructions

Warning

1.Be sure to install, retighten, and reinstall the fittings in accordance with the installation method described in the digital catalog or instruction manual. Improper installation or tightening may result in liquid leakage or accidents such as piping disengagement.

2.Do not retighten at high temperatures or under pressure. Retightening at high temperatures or under pressure may may cause deformation or damage, and liquid may spurt out. Be sure to return to room temperature and set the pressure to zero before retightening.

3.Do not use this product outside the scope of its specifications. There is a risk of liquid leakage or accidents such as piping disengagement.

4.The max. operating pressure of the product varies depending on the operating temperature. Be sure to check the "Relation of Operating Temperature & Max. Operating Pressure” and use within that range.

5.Since this product is a resin product, care must be taken to avoid bending and tensile stresses during and after tightening. There is a risk of deformation or damage to the unit and leakage of liquid.

6.If the fluid medium is a chemical or solvent, check the chemical resistance before use. Depending on the usage conditions, it may cause damage to the product, disengagement of the tube, or leakage.

7.Do not use under conditions where the fitting part is subject to shaking or impact. It may cause damage to the product, disengagement of the tube, or leakage.

8.Since this product is made of resin, do not tighten it more than necessary or turn the knob excssively.

9.If the outer nut is left loose, the liquid will leak out, which is very dangerous. Be sure to stop using the product and retighten the outer nut.

Caution

1.Never combine with parts other than our product. There is a risk of liquid leakage or accidents such as piping disengagement.

2.Take safety measures such as providing a protection cover on piping and fitting to avoid burn when the liquid in piping exceeds 70°C.

3.Be sure to use our dedicated flaring jig for flaring work. The use of other manufacturers' jigs may result in accidents such as liquid leakage.

4.Flaring work should be carried out with great care, as the parts can become very hot. There is a risk of causing burn injury.

5.Make sure the room is well ventilated during flaring work. If overheated, toxic fumes may be produced.

6.When disposing of this product, discard any remaining liquid and wash it before disposal. It is dangerous to dispose of the product with residues of toxic, flammable or corrosive liquids.

7.Dispose of this product as noncombustible waste. Fluororesin is dangerous because it generates toxic gas when burned.

8.The fluid medium is limited to liquids, but consult with PISCO if it is a gas.

9.After piping, be sure to check that the impact ring is in place. If you forget to insert the impact ring, it is dangerous because it may cause accidents such as liquid leakage or pipe disengagement.

10.If retightening is required due to leakage in the tube connection, return the fluid to room temperature, tighten the union nut 1/4 turn further with a dedicated spanner at zero pressure, and observe the progress. In the case of retightening due to leakage, be aware that the liquid in the nut may continue to seep for some time after retightening, even after the leakage has stopped.

11.After the initial tightening of union nuts and taper pipe threaded body, the tightening torque will decrease due to the characteristics of the resin. Most of them are within 24 hours, retightening after 24 hours or more is effective in achieving a long-term stable sealing. In case of thermal cycling, it is recommended to retighten at low temperatures after one cycle.

12.If there is a risk of damage to machinery, equipment, etc. or a disaster due to leakage of the fluid used, take safety measures such as a protective cover in advance.

14.When using the hot flare processing jig metal shaft type (F-JA-□-T) or base for jig (F-BA-3), metal ions may adhere to the tube when it comes in contact with it.
