Preventing Oil Ingress into Valves from ATC Shutter Air Cylinders
In machine tools, ATC (Automatic Tool Changer) shutters operate at high opening and closing speeds, which can result in reduced service life due to the impact on the air cylinders.
To reduce wear and improve cylinder durability, lubricating oil is introduced into the cylinder. However, this may cause oil to flow into the control valve, leading to potential issues.
To prevent oil from entering the valve, a quick exhaust valve can be connected to the cylinder. By discharging the oil through the quick exhaust valve, oil ingress into the control valve can be effectively prevented.
